The recipe

How to make it

  1. 1Fill a highball with ice.
  2. 2Pour in the whiskey and 7 Up and stir gently.

Garnish: A lime slice.

Variations: Difford’s uses less soda, 3½ oz to 1½ oz of whiskey, with a lemon wedge.

Seagram’s 7 Crown is a light American blended whiskey; another blended or Canadian whisky makes much the same drink, and Sprite can stand in for 7 Up.
