The recipe

How to make it

  1. 1Fill a highball with ice.
  2. 2Pour in the amaretto, Southern Comfort and sloe gin, add a splash of lemon juice and stir.

Variations: Most recipes now add orange juice and shake it: Southern Comfort’s own uses 1 oz each of Southern Comfort, amaretto and sloe gin with 2 oz orange juice. It is also poured as a shot.

Mr. Boston doesn’t measure the splash of lemon juice; the numbers assume ¼ oz.
