How we count
Estimated for one drink made to its recipe at typical strengths, with the water the ice adds. Alcohol at 7 calories a gram, sugars at 4. Our method
Built and stirred drinks of nearly all spirit lead: an Old Fashioned or a Rusty Nail is poured over ice and only lightly diluted. Anything lengthened with soda, juice, wine or cream falls down the list. Strength is a share of the glass, not a total; for the most alcohol in one drink, see most alcohol per drink.
